ART SAFARI

Art Safari is the first professional and public art pavilion in Romania, designed for both heritage and contemporary art. Art Safari will bring together more than 100 galleries and art dealers, museums and cultural institutions, both from Romania and abroad, that will exhibit high quality artworks, from paintings and sculptures to design and collectibles, in a refined curatorial manner.

Bucharest is a unique place where the past and the future collide. Also known as “Little Paris” at the beginning of the twentieth century, amputated by several demolitions carried out during the communist era and changed by the new architecture of the past twenty-five years, Bucharest is trying to define its identity. An identity that can only be achieved through cultural recovery. Art Safari, by the public cultural event it organizes, wants to place Bucharest again on the European cultural map.

Why Art Safari? Because Romania’s cultural history has been marked by repeated interruptions and adverse circumstances imposed on its artistic activity to the point of a complete breakage in its communication with the international art scene. Art Safari Bucharest aims to build a strong connection between heritage and contemporary art, artist-gallery-collector, cultural institution and the art market, so as to bring the entire cultural system closer to the public.

Art Safari Bucharest represents the passion to jointly build a local artistic system at European standards by involving all art market players.

Street Spirit - Street Art Delivery

Rows of houses, all bearing down on me
I can feel their blue hands touching me

All these things into position
All these things we'll one day swallow whole
And fade out again

This machine will, will not communicate
These thoughts and the strain I am under
Be a world child, form a circle

Before we all go under
And fade out again

Immerse your soul in love

Immerse your soul in love

Immerse your soul in love

Immerse your soul in love

Immerse your soul in love

Immerse your soul in love

Immerse your soul in love

Immerse your soul in love

Immerse your soul in love
IMMERSE YOUR SOUL IN LOVE

Street Spirit (Fade Out) Lyrics
Artist(Band):Radiohead

Rows of houses, all bearing down on me
I can feel their blue hands touching me
All these things into position
All these things we'll one day swallow whole
And fade out again and fade out
This machine will, will not communicate
These thoughts and the strain I am under
Be a world child, form a circle
Before we all go under
And fade out again and fade out again
Cracked eggs, dead birds
Scream as they fight for life
I can feel death, can see its beady eyes
All these things into position
All these things we'll one day swallow whole
And fade out again and fade out again

Immerse your soul in love

Hundertwasser Manifesto - Austria Trip (I)

Why may a human being not do what he needs to do, like a flower.
The colourful, the abundant, the manifold, is always better than mediocre grey and uniformity.
Only those who think and live creatively will survive in this life and beyond.
(Hundertwasser)
(Hundertwasser)

Paintings for me are gateways, which enable me, if I have
been successful, to open them into a world which is both
near and far for us, to which we have no admission, in
which we find ourselves, but which we cannot perceive,
which is against the real world
Our parallel world, from which we remove ourselves in one respect
Yes, and that is the paradise, that is what we are in, what we are arrested in, and which some inexplicable power denies us.
(Hundertwasser)
(Hundertwasser)

I believe, and I am absolutely certain, and therefore I believe, that painting is a religious occupation, that the actual impulse comes from without, from something else that we do not know, an indefinable power which comes or does not come and which guides your hand
People used to say in earlier times that it was the muse, for example, it's a stupid thing to say of course, but it is some kind of illumination.
And the only thing one can do is to prepare the ground, so that this extraterrestrial impulse or however else one might describe it can reach you.

(Hundertwasser)

That means eliminating the will, eliminating the intelligence, eliminating "wanting to do better", eliminating ambition...
I should perhaps like to be known as the magician of vegetation or something similar. We are in need of magic
I fill a picture until it is full with magic, as one fills up a glass with water
Everything is so infinitely simple, so infinitely beautiful.
Venice, 1975
(Hundertwasser)

(Hundertwasser)

Hundertwasser is one of the most important artists & architects to emerge from the latter half of the 20th-century and is certainly by far the most important Austrian one.

Richard Klekociuk - the Artist , the Rocks and his Magical Pencils

Richard live in Tasmania.
"Tasmania is truly a wonderful place in which to live. The scenery is simply stunning and its population of 495,000 is well scattered throughout the island except for the southwest which is a wilderness area, most of which is listed in the national heritage register." he said....
"When I was in year nine at high school I was taught Art by Geoff Page who was such an inspiration to me that all I wanted to do was to become an Art teacher like him, and I did! I graduated from the Tasmanian School of Art in 1971 and taught in numerous schools before my retirement and loved the job!"

ART Review
The Truth About Coloured Pencils

Exhibition

Silence at the Table
Richard: "This is my favourite drawing from my exhibition.
For me personally, I think it’s right up there with the best work that I’ve ever done.
Although it was very time-consuming, it was a delight to build up the various layers, especially on the door which is full of graffiti."

WHAT THE CRITIC SAID

Richard: "There is still a hard-edged element in a lot of my work. I love using shadows and strong light. I am intrigued by the patterns that appear on rocks, reflections in water, tumbling, spraying waves and “transparent” surfaces such as rock pools and backwaters."

Quiet corner SISTERS BEACH
Richard: "I have been fascinated by the colour, size, shape, variety and texture of rocks. Let’s face it, rocks are everywhere...."

Backwater ROCKY CAPE
Richard: "There is something very special when you put a pencil in your hand and push it over a responsive surface such as heavyweight watercolour paper or pastel board. The response is instant: a line, a mass of colour – a shape. Colours can be laid down side-by-side or overlaid."
Richard: "My aim is to keep improving my technique as long as I can hold a pencil. One is never too old to learn new tricks! I want to sell my work overseas and take full advantage of my website and blog. I have yet to travel overseas and hope to get the opportunity one day. I enjoy teaching adults and participating in demonstrating pencil drawing at Art exhibitions when invited.

It can be quite lonely living down here near the bottom of planet Earth.

I invite you to visit my web site at http://www.artkleko.com/ .
