The Village Museum was established in 1936 and it contains over 300 wooden houses, windmills, churches etc. from all over the country. Many of the buildings are originals which were brought here in pieces and reassembled. The oldest houses date as far back as the 17C. Behind the project from the start was ethnographer Dimitrie Gusti (1880 - 1955) who wanted the museum to mirror as closely as possible the aspects of the rural life. Because of this the museum is organized as a real village, with clusters of houses being linked by winding paths. This makes for a pleasant stroll especially if you find yourself in Bucharest during the summer, when the city is hot and dusty.

These are so pretty. I love the texture of the wood and the super model cats!
Ca de obicei, imagini ce ma fascineaza :)
This village museum represents a vastly different way of life when everything was handmade by skilled artisans who took pride in their work and gave their work character, unlike today's mass production that is only interested in profits :-).
Foarte frumoase imagini, Daliana!
An un-ending series of textures in beautiful composition !
Keep going back here......these are wonderful images of a beautiful place........Go on sunny days though.
frumoase linii. interesante imagini. o serie placuta ochiului.

Beautiful and interesting photographs.
wow...these are such lovely pictures! The cat adds so much interest in the images :)
Frumoasa colectie de detalii di de...pisici, Wind! Pentru culoare, imi place cea cu scoarte. Nr.6 imi place pentru aerul de izba ruseasca, fiindca are si mesteacanul alaturi...si imi place cea cu copacelul in varf...De fapt, imi plac toate!
Wow, this was amazing! I would like to see this village museum

faine detalii
Si mie mi-a placut mult muzeul Satului, si casele acelea albastre ...
Hi, very nice pictures.. perspectives in some are great))
Particolare molto belli come i colori.
Nice foto.
Wonderful, rustic beauty! and I love that cat! Blessings.
I'm always blown away by your photos!
EXQUISITE!!
Have a great day!

Exquisitely you see photography items at each place.
gorgeous! the light was perfect!
I love all your photos, but cat against blue wall and cat in the last shot are definitely my favorites!
I think I easily could live inside a structure such as the manner you reveal in your photographs, Wind. Of course, I would hope to have all of the modern conveniences of daily life within the building. That is to say, warm in the Winter and cool in the Summer.
The degree and the quality of pure art that can emerge from a few pieces of wood is amazing, and to capture these visions through photography is equally amazing. Your work has star quality, Wind.
Pai, poti pierde o vesnicie uitandu-te la fiecare dintre ele in parte. Sunt deosebite.
Tree and roof... interesant punctul de vedere.
great shots!
the cat looks amazing and cute ;D
What wonderful textures of wood in these super images.
Oh, and the cats are gorgeous.....
Dear Daliana, your photos tell a story, they have weight, personality! You look at things from a very special way! Fantastic. I love coming here. Hugs
You transport us back to the future, capturing the essence of the life in each close up. The wood macros tells a story of its own, the fresh colors of the woven rugs are creative and delightful.
Cats are amazing to watch -love and photograph.
You are a exquisite with the camera lens.

A superb series--I particularly love the shot third from the bottom. It has great perspective and minimalism.
Really beautiful photos!
Excellent
pictures
good creations
Voce, suflet, boget in imagini autentice si veritabile!

This museum is an amazing place that you keep on doing justice to. As always I like the windows and doors with the textures. It is unfortunate that the thing that does not show much interest in your work is the cat ! On the other hand the contrast in textures between the wood and the cat in image 2 is great.
Come è possibile??? Io non so quale scegliere, sono tutte così belle, forti, pittoriche...
:-)
Una magnifica serie!!! Thanks!!!
Superba seria, foarte bine facute! Excelenta lumina, culorile si texturile sunt extraordinare! Felicitari!
