The Bucharest City Hall has started demolishing the old houses on the Buzesti boulevard in the capital city to expand the boulevard. The first houses – on the right side of the boulevard, coming from Victoriei Square to Vasile Parvan – were demolished on Thursday night and 87 houses in total will be knocked down to make room for the extension. As I was in Bucarest as a kid is hard for me to judge wheter it is good that the old houses are demolished...
anyway I love the first picture!:)
wow, I can't believe it ! impressive and sad images of your town !!
but life goes on !
wish you a nice sunday
Great artwork here!
Stunning photos!
Have a great Sunday!

Really strongly seen and described.
Thank you, Wind. Beautiful shots and very creatively done, as always. But it does seem sad that the old must give way to the new. Blessings from Texas, my friend.
Imi cer iertare...Bucurestii nu pot fi iubiti decat in limba romana, asa cum pe Popa Nan nu te poti plimba pe sub platanii infloriti, decat la brat cu Radu Cosasu in muzica lui Fernic...
Imagini superbe ca de obicei...Multumesc !
I hope they are being relocated on a more beautiful area.
Love all the photos. Consistently, you're giving me reasons to love photography more.
Thanks a lot for showing me this world, my friend.
Agonie din plin in Bucuresti...
nu se mai termina lucrarile.. :(
Hello, Daliana! I think it's sad to see these old houses and buildings going down. It's part of the city's history vanishing away, but sometimes it's necessary.Hope the new space brings beauty to your city! You've done an excellent job registering this. Have a nice sunday, hugs from Anamaria
As always great images. Truly beautiful!
Incet-incet, piere istoria sub ochii nostri...
Interesting story
A cordial greeting ...
Abstract texts and reflection
wow! interesting pics., very strong contrast, i cant make to like it or to hate it, it looks painful being torn down but it felt it needed to be cleaned up.
Strong pictures! But is the knocking always good or should some of the old houses been preserved ?
Best wishes,
"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times ...." from the opening sentence of, "A Tale of Two Cities," by Charles Dickens might also be an appropriate caption here, Wind.
You have many magnificent photographs today, both in a visual sense and a symbolic one. The ones with the people moving through the rubble are especially touching, I think, and the shot in which the girl sits reading beneath the manikins dressed in red is a bit haunting. Where the eyes of the two manikins seem to be focused makes me smile and wonder.
You truly can work magic with a camera, Wind. You caused me to remember the first time I saw vacant land in the location where the house in which I had grown up once stood. The shock of the sight made me feel like I had never been born or lived the life of a child.
Your city is changing ? Nice to see pictures of your town - thank you for sharing
Beautiful series--the red call box shot is stunning!
Che dire...!
Ottimo set di immagini!
Ciao
beautiful from real life:)
Demolishing wonderful old historical buildings of the past is the price we pay in the name of progress, very sad, fantastic photos :-).
Hi Daliana, I don'tr know how necessary this was. Whart I can say is that series of photographs is poignant. It looks like a horrendous human disaster.
Your photography here reveals your enormous talent. What a series! And what a photographer, what an artist you are to be able to create this series!
Roger
Beautiful but sad.
These are amazing!
I love the contrast between the old, the new, the demolished, the refurbished, the rebuilt, the rubble. Hard to tell what came first in some photos: the artwork then the rubble or the rubble then the artwork. In some photos I see vestiges of life as it used to be and then life as it is now (graffiti from spray cans). Very interesting depiction of life from so many different points of view, Wind.
Great work Wind,
iám a little bit jealous.
greetings, Joop
thanks for your nice comment
It is almost worse than vandalism.
Your pictures are recompense. Superb treatment. really beautiful images.
As always your photography is fantastic But it also made me sad to see all those buildings coming down -- so many as you said above ... some of the architectural details you show are marvelous works of art. I wonder it will be a 'new' place a new town, as I wonder how the towns people will feel when it is done, gone are the memories and the familiar feeling. Life I guess is all about change.
Your photo's are excellent capture of history been changed before your eyes and now our eyes too, thank you for sharing.
warm wishes,
joanny
The story is always sad.
Old things are coming down to make
space for the new ones!!
As always, dear Wind, you are a master for presenting your photos
so well.
And the music, very dramatic!
Many hugs from
Athens!!
I personally like seeing the buildings demolished but feel bad at the same time, especially if its a historical figure.
Fantastic capture, as always.
Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day.
Yoshi
Very good!!!!!!
Sad and devastating to see such destruction what has been built up over a period of time.
I feel I'm walking along the streets...
You captured historical moments. Thank you for the opportunity to see such interesting moments of your city!
Excellent
work
good creations

Excelenta serie, imi plac in mod deosebit9 si 11 din coada, foarte bine lucrat, felicitari, frumoase compozitii.
Your photographs are stunning. Beautiful!
Hi Wind,
Demolition of 'historical' building surely create agony and ecstasy.
It´s a sad situation for the old parts of the city. But your images are a little bit romatic in these colours. Hugs from Luzia.
Very nice photos! I'm so glad that you took them! They will be a reminder of the old houses in that part of the city.
Have a nice day! :-)
Daliana, ai talent -arata frumos dezastrul dupa ce iti pui tu amprenta :)) Cred ca poti participa la "ROMANII AU TALENT" iti tin pumnii :)
Succese!
Hi, again another beautiful photographic story :)
Growing up in England I have seen my fair share of buildings being torn down, esp. places we had lived. It is bittersweet and you work vividly portrays that.
Amazing work :)
Thank you, Have a lovely evening, T. :)
cate amintiri imi trezeste Bucurestiul asta.
Bucuresti orasul in care traim...
A study of contrast that evoked a feeling of sorrow. In the US tearing down old to make way for new is common place and usually without protest. In your pictures the building themselves seem to be mourning their loss.
Very interesting, it's incredible to be real. I liked.
Regards, jesus
it is a sad occasion and an extraordinary series. the top one is a masterwork for me.
