Limenas Thassos - Old Harbour

The small town of Limenas (also called Thassos) is the capital and main port of Thassos. It counts about 2.500 inhabitants and it is located on the northern coast of the island, on the site of the ancient city of Thassos and has most of the population. It is the administrative and commercial centre of the island.
Limenas has a modern and an oldest part. The old quarter is the most beautiful part of the city, presenting archaeological interest because it has various ruins scattered all around: Agora, the sanctuary of Zeus, Poseidon, Dionysus and Artemis, and a small amphitheater.
The old port is very picturesque as is the ancient marketplace.

The fire from my images has been extinguished by the firemen in 10 minutes.

My thoughts:

This town has a quiet, sleepy look to it.

Your seagulls are impatient for you to pay them their modelling fees.

I wonder how often someone like me, who usually wears cowboy boots, appears walking along the harbour streets.

Again, I envy you your holiday and your photographic skills, Daliana.
