Swans - Tales From the Lake

swans meditation

Swans look for soul mates
and once they mate, they mate for life.
If one dies, the other pines away until he dies too.
For them there's no second swan.

You have captured thought-provoking images, and I can't help but wonder as I look at your pictures what they are thinking.

Love the shot of the tails in the air!

Wonderful photos. I love seeing swans. I saw lots of them in Lucerne Switzerland recently but no black ones.

G' Day From Australia, These photos of black and white swans in there natural element are brilliant. I'm wondering why the black swan in the second photo looks so sad, has he/she lost a mate?. Bottoms in the air photo made me laugh that's the best one hands down.

Faci niste fotografii tare frumoase!
Mi-au amintit de "Ratusca cea urata";)

Wind, ne propui aici o interesanta varianta pentru Lacul lebedelor: una multiculturala as zice :) E grozava poza cu cozile. Imi place mult si cea cu reflexiile apei.

My mother lives on an island in Scotland half the year, where there is a legend that a black swan contains the spirit of the long ago Laird.

Isn't it so easy to see how people came to believe so many magical, fanciful things about swans? They really do look as if they were crafted by wizards and sorcerers.

They are all lovely pictures, Wind, but I confess to like the one of the swans upended in the water. It made me laugh like mad. Looks like a bunch of submerged Popes, doesn't it?

Wind, these photographs are outstanding. It seems that all these beautiful birds are moving, having "conversation". It is a mystery for me how you were able to catch all these moments. I like especially black swans on your photos. I saw them only a few times in my life. I think they are gorgeous.

Wonderful and very artistic photos. I enjoyed so much to look at them.

My very best wishes to you.

Superbe imagini , Wind!Chiar asa ?
Multumesc!
Duminica placuta!

What a carnival of life, the swans.
What an example of self control and proud.
And this series that show it all.
Although old fashioned, can´t help thinking in Tchaikovsky and beauty in movement.
And for what you mention about swan´s loyalty, i think i am one.
There will never be a second swan.

I wish you the best today and in the week to come Wind friend

Great set of pictures once again Wind. Graceful and Peaceful looking animals. From my experience of trying to photograph these, I can tell that you have put a lot of work into this album. Despite all of them being good, I have a few favourites. 21... with the dripping water. So many you just want to look into the eyes and guess what they are thinking. 12... :-) .
Wow... what a meditation.
