Hagiesti - Marghiloman Mansion - Seasons

There's house on my block that's abandoned and cold

Folks moved out of it a long time ago

Looks like it's haunted with the windows all cracked

And everyone call it  'the house where nobody lives'

Once it held laughter once it held dreams

Did they throw it away did they know what it means

Did someone's heart break or did someone do somebody wrong?

Well the paint was all cracked it was peeled off of the wood

Papers were stacked on the porch where I stood

And the weeds had grown up just as high as the door

There were birds in the chimney and an old chest of drawers

Looks like no one will ever come back to the house were nobody lives

Once it held laughter, once it held dreams

Did they throw it away did they know what it means

Did someone's heart break,  or did someone do someone wrong?

So if you find someone someone to have, someone to hold

Don't trade it for silver don't trade it for gold

I have all of life's treasures and they are fine and they are good
They remind me that houses are just made of wood
What makes a house grand ain't the roof or the doors
If there's love in a house it's a palace for sure
Without love...it ain't nothin but a house
A house where nobody lives ,without love it ain't nothin
But a house, a house where nobody lives.
(House Where Nobody Lives Lyrics)

What an adventure.

What a dream, that it might become a school one day. If they search for a teacher, please let me know.

Please have a good new week.

"To every thing there is a season ...."

Not too original of me to quote Ecclesiastes, but it would seem to me to be the first thought of anyone viewing this series, Daliana. The seasons of the year and the seasons of life are an excellent way to photographically record what is around us and within us.

And, speaking of excellent, your photographic skills are brilliantly bright and shining once again. Some of these shots would be a pleasure to see framed and hung in a home where the occupants and the structure itself are still in the summer of their lives.

Ce ciudat suna in engleza.

e mare pacat ca in Romania asemenea cladiri nu-s pretuite :(

Alt loc interesant, Daliana.

really beautiful pictures...some look so soft...like paintings...

old houses...have been through so much...all the love and laughter that once filled the rooms...it's always sad to see the crumbling old abandoned homes torn down...

great pictures with the perfect lyrics to accompany them!

Trebuie sa fi fost deosebit de frumos conacul acesta ...Ce este pacat e ca este lasat in paragina si nimeni nu vrea sa faca ceva in privinta asta...Ne uitam valorile si le lasam sa se darame ...Pacat....

Cat de usor poti crea picaturi de arta.
