House With no Door - Life for Sale

There's a house with no door and I'm living there

at nights it gets so cold and the days are hard to bear inside.

There's a house with no roof, so the rain creeps in,

falling through my head as I try to think out time

I don't know you, you say you know me, there's so much that I am unsure of ...

There's a house with no bell, but then nobody calls;

I sometimes find it hard to tell if any are alive at all outside...

There's a house with no sound; yes, it's quiet there, there's not much point in words if there's no-one to share in time.

I've learned my lines, I am ready to tell whoever will finally come in

There's a house with no door

and there's no living there: one day it became a wall well I didn't really care at the time.

There's a house with no light,

all the windows are sealed,

overtaxed and strained NOW NOTHING IS REVEALED BUT TIME

There's a house with no door and I'm living there

at nights it gets so cold
and the days are hard to bear inside.
There's a house with no roof, so the rain creeps in,
falling through my head as I try to think out time.
I don't know you, you say you know me,
that may be so,
there's so much that I am unsure of ...
You call my name, but it sounds unreal,
I forget how I feel, my body's rejecting the cure.
There's a house with no bell, but then nobody calls;
I sometimes find it hard to tell
if any are alive at all outside.
There's a house with no sound; yes, it's quiet there
there's not much point in words
if there's no-one to share in time.
I've learned my lines, I know them so well,
I am ready to tell
whoever will finally come in
Of the line in my mind that's cold in the night,
it doesn't seem right
when there's that little dark figure running ...
There's a house with no door
and there's no living there:
one day it became a wall ...
well I didn't really care at the time.
There's a house with no light,
all the windows are sealed,
overtaxed and strained NOW NOTHING IS REVEALED BUT TIME
I don't know you, you say you know me,
that may be so,
there's so much that I am unsure of ...
You call my name, but it sounds unreal,
I forget how I feel,
my body's rejecting the cure .....
Won't somebody help me ......?

  5. E o serie excelenta dar azi sunt intr-o dispozitie proasta asa ca, tare as vrea sa vad o data si antiteza...am recunoscute si cele doua poze din Timisoara, inaintea usii si a geamului, inverzite.

  23. This is a magnificent series, Daliana. Of that, there is no doubt.

There are a million adjectives I could use to praise these photographs, and, many of them I have written here in the past, but the one thing I do want to emphasize at this moment in time is that many of them rise above mere "pictures" and enter the realm of art.

I know everyone must earn their daily bread, but I think all your time (well, most of it) should be devoted to producing books.

  24. What a touching and poignant series. It hits all the way to the soul. So sad yet beautiful in their own way. I wonder about the ghosts who have been left behind. This is awesome photography...a special treat for tired eyes tonight. I have had to look through them twice they are so beautiful. genie

  42. " I sometimes find it hard to tell if any are alive at all outside... "

  64. The image stabs at the heart. Does life need walls to support us? Could you do a girl a favor? I need some literary walls to support me in times of insanity and chaos.

Let me know me the book you would choose IF YOU HAD ONLY ONE LAST BOOK TO READ? and enter it on my blog.
