Collapse Into Now - Life for Sale

I don't mark my time with dates, holidays, faded wisdom, locked karma holders. Convenient.

I am made by my times, I am a creation of now, shaken with the cracks and crevices
I'm not giving up easy, I will not fold, I don't have much, but what I have is gold....

I saw your face...

I like you, love you, every coast of you.
I've seen your eddies and tides and hurricanes and cyclones.
Low ebb tide and high, full moon. Up close and distant.I read you.

Had enough to drink to make my own party, all my fellow writers in half costume, half asleep

Look, the sky, the sea, the ocean, the sun, the moon.
Breathing with you. Touch. Change. Shift. Allow air. Window open. Drift. Drift away. Into now.

I want Whitman proud. Patti Lee proud. My brothers proud. My sisters proud.

I want me. I want it all. I want sensational. Irresistible.

I sing in platinum, I dress in brass, I eat in zinc

This is my time and I am thrilled to be alive.

Living. Blessed. I understand.

Twentieth century: Collapse Into Now

I can be bad poet, street poet

A sun makes shadows
All over your face
As you sit
Naked and blue
Into me

I sing in platinum
I dress in brass
I eat in zinc
Let it pass
Compare a toast
I like that
I understand courage
I still roll with the shout of a character I was married to today
I try to see outside myself
I understand the eyes
Excuse all the highs
Sorry
I am sorry

  8. Wind, this is amazing post with absolutely spectacular photographs. I am impressed and fascinated by all of them.

And I try " to see outside myself" also. Everything is poetic and very touching.... images and poetry. It's like a fresh air filled my morning and brought into it joy.

You are very special, Wind!!!! I like you and I consider myself a lucky person that I met you.

    Wind by Amy Lowell

He shouts in the sails of the ships at sea,
He steals the down from the honeybee,
He makes the forest trees rustle and sing,
He twirls my kite till it breaks its string.
    Laughing, dancing, sunny wind,
    Whistling, howling, rainy wind,
    North, South, East and West,
Each is the wind I like the best.
He calls up the fog and hides the hills,
He whirls the wings of the great windmills,
The weathercocks love him and turn to discover
His whereabouts -- but he's gone, the rover!
    Laughing, dancing, sunny wind,
    Whistling, howling, rainy wind,
    North, South, East and West,
Each is the wind I like the best.
The pine trees toss him their cones with glee,
The flowers bend low in courtesy,
Each wave flings up a shower of pearls,
The flag in front of the school unfurls.
    Laughing, dancing, sunny wind,
    Whistling, howling, rainy wind,
    North, South, East and West,
Each is the wind I like the best.

WHICH IS THE WIND I LIKE THE BEST?

I like all of them. And North and South, East and West...

THANK YOU FOR BEING BEAUTIFUL AND TALENTED, DALIANA.

  18. I think I would rather collapse into tomorrow, Wind, but I will settle for now, for today, and dream about tomorrow. The music seems too distant for me, and detracts from the wonder of the photography, I think. It would be fun to discuss the selection, though.

As for the photographic series, spectacular once again. The intermingling of black and white and color is fascinating, especially in context with a metropolitan city. The reflections on the windows work wonderfully revealing life beyond the windows in contrast to the frozen world within the windows.

I am not certain what it says of me, but I prefer the shots of the "model" wearing the fur and of another wearing a hat.

  42. Your photos are awesome!! The song is not exactly my cup of tea, but is interesting. I love the photos very much, they are very creative. I think I like the last one best, with the armless mannequin, helpless and vulnerable, yet life goes on oblivious to the mannequin's plight. Great Post!!

  45. Hi Wind, just had a look at the last time that you used this location and this set has moved up a league both visually and in meaning. I am getting the artistic picture that these two incidental unconnected subjects become one and the same thing through the text, Masterful.
