What if God was one of us?
Just a slob like one of us
Just a stranger on the bus
Trying to make his way home
If God had a face what would it look like?
And would you want to see if seeing meant that you would have to believe
in things like heaven
and in Jesus and the saints and all the prophets
Nobody calling on the phone
Back up to heaven all alone

Sensational photos. Jesus IS one of us!
ReplyDeleteFrumoasa colectia!
ReplyDeletebreathtakingly MAGNIFICENT images! and words - very very powerful and thought-provoking piece - thank you so much!
ReplyDeleteUnbelievably brilliant. Just superb! I just wish I could get a quarter as good.

ReplyDeleteCe să zic?!
Nimic!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful faces. Important photographs.
ReplyDeleteGreat work.
What If God Was One Of Us

ReplyDeleteUn abrazo!!! ;)
The way you see and think Daliana, is beautifully portrayed in this series of photos. Superb work!
ReplyDeleteGreetings from Australia!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant series, absolutely fantastic.
WONDERFUL!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAll photos are fantastic i can't pick a favourite one this time around :-).
ReplyDeletema bucur ca si Timisoara e prezenta in fotografii...
I think if god were one of us, he would move to Hawaii and write another book.
ReplyDeleteAs for the photography, explicitly expressive and fascinating, Wind. I would pay money to know the story behind the man holding the American flag, and enjoy going out drinking with him. "El Greco of the Balloons" emanates warmth, and the old woman with the masks on the wall makes me smile and want to buy them all from her, but only if she will give me a kiss with them.
People are magical, are they not? But, unless there is a magical photographer to show them to us, we seldom realize it. You have the touch, lady, and bring happiness to those who see your work.
Merci, c'est très très fort !
ReplyDeleteminuntata serie
ReplyDeleteTolle Fotoserie von unterschiedlichen Motiven und Aufnahmen.
ReplyDeleteGruß
Noke

ReplyDeleteI see that you're interested in pictures of Britain! I thought you might like my blog, www.PictureBritain.com. It's a journey in pictures from the Shetland Islands to Land's End, along with videos, recipes, and interesting tidbits of life in Great Britain!
Powerful pictures! I love them.
ReplyDeleteThese photos belong in a magazine-they are utterly amazing. Wonderful portraits of a wide array of people. They capture each person's expression and spirit perfectly. And, you have certainly given us all something to think about with your title. Wonderful work. Mickie :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures. I love that contrast between old age and childhood. You managed to capture the beauty and feelings in each. In music the most important instrument is the human voice, in photography the most important element is the human figure.
ReplyDeletece serie, daliana!ma inclin!
ReplyDeleteTruly a magnificent overview of everyday life, a good summary.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great selection of shots Wind, my favourite I think is the closeup of the grizzly old man....with perhaps the lady and the kitten my second....

ReplyDeleteDear Daliana, this is note for you and only you. Very personal.
ReplyDeleteI think I got a new wonderful. talented, very bright and intelligent friend - Daliana.

ReplyDeleteEu ma intreb daca Dumnezeu e insusi obiectivul aparatului, lentila, ochiul?...
ReplyDeleteBellissimi istanti di vita reale. Favolose!!
ReplyDeleteFrancesca
There is little one can add to the richly deserved praise already expressed here. You could easily create a new edition of "The Family of Man" that was published in the 60s. Stunning, emotional, poignant, brilliantly captured ---
ReplyDeleteSuper!

ReplyDeleteAlthough there are sections of the song that doesn't sit well in my head, it's a well chosen theme & a valuable lesson for us to treat everyone with the same dignity and respect that they deserve.
Just brilliant...they really intensify the effect of the song.
