The Weekend in Black and White
R.E.M.new album Collapse Into Now :
R.E.M. - Oh my Heart
the kids have a new take
a new take on faith
pick up the pieces
get carried away
I came home to city half erased
I came home to face what we faced
this place needs me here to start
this place is the beat of my heart

ReplyDeletese simte spiritul orasului
pe fundalul cladirilor vechi
Yet again an inspirational post. I love the light in these.
ReplyDeleteMore fantastic black and white photos you've done well again my favourites are the 7th photo with the reflection and the 11th of the fountain :-).
"Teapa" strica peisajul orasului in acel loc, pacat!
ReplyDeleteI remember this city app. from more than 20 yaers ago:)
ReplyDeleteWind hi,
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos !!!
Bucharest is so nice town !!!
I was there 15 years ago.
Greetings
Magda
Am I wrong?
It's a great serie photo's, well done my friend.
ReplyDeleteGreetings, Joop

ReplyDeleteFelicitari!
Town and human being.
ReplyDeleteThe both seem to be wrapped in the history.
The landmark architectures have a life sense.
Thank you.

Beautiful series, truly captures the spirit and contrasts of a great city - the old and the new, the sad and the joyful existing side by side. Yes, I agree with Windsmoke, the shot of the fountain is wonderful!

ReplyDeleteUn portret 100% realist al orasului gri. SUPERBE fotografiile!
ReplyDeleteWind, this city is a city of contrasts and that is what makes it very interesting. I like cities of contrasts, they have their own unique faces and stories.

Bucarest, beautiful place!
ReplyDeleteAmazing captures, I went through them a number of times.I was in the forest today and thought in B&W with a lot of my shots in the snow.
ReplyDeleteHi Wind, this is a great post that looks beyond the tourist aspect as we realise that real people live here. Thanks for sharing your openness and honesty from your city as the lyrics of the song has put everything into perspective. I like the fountain picture, not only is it a superb image but it demonstrates life and a piece of happiness. I always think that an outdoor market like the one you have displayed is the soul of a city too. Just wondering who the local graffiti artist is in the last image !!! regards, J
